Nellie was born and raised in the Burdekin on a Small Crop Farm & Cane Farm. She is familiar with the Farming Industry and has friends who are professional fisherman so also understands the Fishing Industry.

Nellie has four children, two at High School and two at Primary School.  All of her family loves to fish, ride the 4Wheelers & enjoy a good BBQ.  Nellie and her family can’t wait to go to her sisters cattle farm on weekends which is in Gumlu, the kids love the cows. She has worked in Banking, Reception/Admin for about 10 yrs and finds her current position with BBIFMAC interesting, even more so because she can appreciate how the land and water need to be maintained for future generations.  Nellie looks forward to meeting many more people through this position.
